I am Madame Ony welcome to my website, you are loved and appreciated for your visit.

About me: My fondest memories are of growing up in Skamokowa, Washington with my Father and brothers. My Father worked a little restaurant there called the Duck-in and people came from all over to enjoy his geoduck steaks. He is the master chef I apprenticed with as soon as I was old enough to scrub a potato until I ran away by myself to Alaska when I was 16 and fresh out of college. I continued my cooking career here in Alaska learning the native ingredients such as moose, fireweed blossoms, boletus mushrooms and the massive bounty of seafood that I have come to love. I've camp cooked for fish sites, lodges remote and local, moose camps and restaurants and have done a large amount of catering. Most recently finishing a two month apprentice ship in Anchorage with Alaska's only genuine Sicilian master chef Salvatore Favre. I hope though to never stop learning, apprenticing, and expanding my knowledge so that I can share it with those who share my love. I love getting creative and I hope to inspire you too.

What a job!

This is completely all about taking the work I love to do and making it so much fun I can't wait to go do it!

There is so much more to cooking then the ingredients

When we create something from raw ingredients we are adding our own personal energy into what we are creating. If the secret ingredient in every dish is love, appreciation and compassion....how much better will it taste, how much healthier will it be for our bodies. What about feeding our spirit and souls on positive energy while we feed our bodies with nutrients.

Never trust a skinny cook!

I have been the Radio Host for "The Galley Wench's Cooking Show" on KWJG 91.5 FM for many years now. It's on Sunday's at 6:30 pm. It's one of my greatest loves of my life doing that show. Not only for the best and sweetest people on the planet that own and run that station. I  really believe in KWJG completely for all that it does for the community and all that it stands for (freedom of speach without government involvement). I appreciate the oppertunity KWJG has given me to share my talent and knowledge. I hope to help people to treat themselves and the people they love with special care, appreciation and importance. By feeding them well mind, body and spirit.
There is more hunger for Love and Appreciation in this world than for bread.
